A great all purpose high quality blade. They do sell a thin kerf version, which would work better, but I still suggest trying the less expensive Frued blade before making the big investment. Then clubmakers went looking for a more cost-effective way to manufacture clubs and make them easier for the average player to hit. You may have had a defective blade that left a bad impression…. What I am gradually picking up here is that some blades are better at Crosscutting, others at Ripping. Then I come back and make the full-depth height? The thin kerf is nice for reducing stock waste and reducing friction in the cut, but it also made it difficult to use with the riving knife or blade guard on my saw both are pretty much exactly the same width as the kerf, so if the board has any tendency to close, it pinches the riving knife and makes the cut difficult. As for Oldham blades, I have the Signature 40T combo, and have no complaints. An important part of making fine furniture is making clean cuts right off the saw, so getting tearout on our cross-cuts is never a good thing. Then came the day when using the thin kerf Premier Fusion my cuts suddenly looked as if I was using 60 grit paper instead of a blade. I was using the old steel blades that came with the saw which were still new and was going deaf with the noise not to mention poor cuts even on soft pine. Muscle back irons gave way to cavity backs.

Just look at the difference in irons. So what is happening is as you cut, the side of the saw blade is rubbing the side of the saw body. You seemed to focus on distance. Later I purchased a Freud full kerf rip blade and a thin kerf rip blade for different applications. Two task-specific blades typically a 24T ripper and a 60T or 80T crosscutter will generally stay sharp longer than a single general purpose blade because they share the work load, but will cost more upfront and will also cost more to re-sharpen when the time comes. I use a 40 tooth blade with a triple chip grind on the top, cleanest cuts in plywood you have ever seen. The thin kerf is key for me as I have a contractor saw that sometimes is challenged with full kerf cuts on thick stock. Clean sap and gunk off your blade periodically and you will be shocked at the results! It just takes a few minutes to switch blades and it can save you time on sanding later. Should I ever be compensated to write, I will make full disclosure. Now I only need to retrofit it to a biesemeyer style fence…. Of course, a blade outperformed a cavity back. No reason to stay away from the Diablo line if the comparable Industrial blade is suitable for the task at hand….

Generally, players with faster swing speeds require stiffer shafts to keep the ball trajectory lower, while players with slower swing speeds will require more-flexible shafts to produce a higher ball trajectory. If I had to choose one I would have to take the Frued.
